Animals in Fables Read this fable from Europe and think about the moral of the fable . The Dog and the Wolf One day a very thin and very hungry wolf met a dog . The dog said to the wolf , "Look how thin and hungry you are . Soon you will die . I work very hard , but my master feeds me every day . " "That sounds wonderful , " said the wolf . "I wish 1 could have such a life . " "No problem , " said the dog . " 1 will take you to my master . We will work together . " So the wolf and the dog walked together towards the town . On the way , the wolf saw that the dog was wearing something around his neck . He asked the dog what it was . "It is my collar , " said the dog . "At night , my master puts a rope through my collar and ties me to the house . Don't worry . You will get used to it . It ' s nothing . " "Really ? " said the wolf .
