Section Task : Arrive Presenting a solution to a problem associated with city planning Below is a list of the issues associated with city planning that have been raised in this section . In a group of 3 or 4 students , choose one of the issues and write a proposal where you suggest one or more solutions to the problem ( s ) involved . ? The most important facilities for a community in a growing city neighborhood ? A plan for renovating and rebuilding an area of a city that has people living there ? The development of a suburb in a city suffering from problems of urban sprawl ? The need for parks and / or parking lots in the limited spaces in city centers 1 . In your group , discuss the various aspects of the issue you have chosen . 2 . Make a list of the problems . 3 . If you have to decide between two or more plans of action , make a list of the advantages and disadvantages of each . 4 . Choose the solution or plan that provides answers to most of the problems or that takes into account most of the factors . 5 . Write a proposal using the model on page 43 as a basis . 6 . Summarize your proposal in an oral presentation to another group . 7 . Ask the students in the other group to comment on your plan and discuss the issues with them . X . If necessary , make changes or corrections to your proposal . 9 . Submit the first and final drafts of your proposal to your teacher , who will assess your work using the rubric onfi © 61 .
