Section Task : Reaching Port Writing a set of instructions 1 . The following are instruments or tools that allow different means of communication . Rank the different instruments or tools according to how complex you think they are . from 1 ( most complex ) to 10 ( least complex ) . 2 . Choose an instrument or tool of communication that you know well and prepare a set of user ' s instructions . a . Your instructions could be for only one task if the instrument is complex , for example , entering a phone number in the memory of a cellular phone , or attaching a document to an email message . b . You may use the instructions on page 37 as a model . 3 . Show your instructions to a partner . Ask him or her if : a . the instructions are clear . b . the instructions follow logical steps . c . the instructions would help the user to carry out the task . d . the use of language is correct . 4 .
