Section Task : Touchdown ! Preparing a timeline about a space exploration program Choose one of the space exploration programs mentioned in this section or a space program of your choice . Prepare a timeline that lists the important events in that space program . 1 . Collect information about the program from this section , from written sources and / or the Internet . Include the following : ? the country that developed the space program ? the goal ( s ) of the space program ? people who contributed to the program ? important events and their dates 2 . Use your work on the timeline ( see page 29 ) . The events should be in the Present Simple , and the information should be brief . 3 . Read over your timeline . Check to make sure that the information is accurate and in the correct format . 4 . Show your timeline to a partner and ask him or her for feedback . Make corrections if necessary . 5 . Assess your work using Student Assessment Page 93 and then submit the timeline to your teacher for assessment . The following checklist shows what you should have in your completed task . ? The timeline focuses on one space exploration program . ? The timeline is in chronological order . ? The facts in the timeline are written according to the correct format . ? Attention is paid to grammar and spelling .
