Radiation energy Energy manifested in the radiation emitted from an object is radiation energy . Energy of sunlight , infra-red radiation from the TV remote control , and X-rays penetrating through the soft tissue of living beings are examples of radiation energy . Question Describe two different kinds of invisible radiation . Electrical energy Energy that is manifested in an electric current is an example of electrical energy . This type of energy is used to power computers , light bulbs , and any other electrical device or appliance . Chemical energy This is the energy manifested in chemical changes in which the substance itself undergoes transformation . For example , chemical energy is manifested in the combustion of gas on a stove top and in the burning of wood in a campfire . In these processes , the combustible materials ( gas and wood ) come into contact with oxygen and they burn . The material itself is transformed , emitting chemical energy in the process . X-ray radiation - An electromagnetic radiation that can penetrate biological tissue , wood , and other materials . This type of radiation is used to produce images of internal organs , in security checks ( i . e ., to view the conatents of luggage ) , and more .
