In the previous chapter , we saw examples of Jewish solidarity throughout history . From the middle of the 19 th century , it was not only individual Jews and Jewish communities which helped Jews in trouble . Jewish organizations were also established to work for the good of the Jewish People , and later on , the State of Israel . Jews all over the world have been able to turn to these organizations in times of need . This chapter focuses on the role some of these organizations play in building Jewish solidarity today .
