The Greatest Goofs in Film Film crews work hard to make sure that there are no goofs , or mistakes , in the final film . However , if you look closely , it is possible to spot them in most movies . There are three main types of mistakes : ? anachronism —an object or prop is inappropriate to the time period ? continuity — there is a sudden change from one shot to the next that doesn ' t make sense or is physically impossible ? visible equipment or crew —a camera or any other equipment or crew member is caught on film when they shouldn't be . Movie Mistake Star Wars When the enemy stormtroopers break into the control room of the spaceship , you can see a storm trooper hit his head on a door frame and fall nearly unconscious . Commando Titanic The yellow sports car Arnold Schwarzenegger drives is totally wrecked on the left side . Later , when Arnold drives it away , it ' s fine . In the scene where people are getting into the lifeboats , one of them is wearing a digital watch . The Titanic sank in 1912 . Harry Potter and the Philosopher ' s Stone When Harry , Ron and Hermione rush to Hagrid after end-of-the-year exams , and Harry is saying something , you can see Hermione ' s lips moving as she mouths his lines . Gladiator After the battle with the Germans , Maximus is walking in the army camp and he feeds a horse a piece of apple . If you look closely between Maximus and the horse , there is a crewman wearing a pair of jeans .
