Known for his blue eyes and stunning good looks , he has starred in a number of classic films . Some of his best known movies include Cat on a Hot Tin Roof , Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and The Sting . He was nominated for an Academy Award seven times before winning for his 1986 performance in The Colorof Money . Since then , Newman has been nominated twice for the Oscar , including a nomination as Best Supporting Actor for his outstanding performance in Road to Perdition ( 2002 ) . In 1982 , Newman began to sell his own salad dressing , under the name Newman ' s Own . Today , the company sells 77 different products , including popcorn and lemonade . Newman donates all profits from the sale of his products to charities , both in the US and in other countries where his products are sold . In 1994 , he was awarded an honorary Oscar in recognition of his charity work . Paul Newman has been married to Oscar-winning actress Joanne Woodward for over 40 years . They have "His and Her" hand and footprints in cement outside Mann ' s Chinese Theater . Marilyn Monroe ( 1926- 1963 ) Monroe symbolized Hollywood glamour and beauty and became th one of the most recognized faces of the 20 century . During her 1 6-year career , she made about 30 films , including Gentlemen Prefer Blondes ( 1 953 ) and Some Like It Hot ( 1957 ) . In fact she wrote "Gentlemen Prefer , Blondes" above her hand and footprints in the cement outside Mann ' s Chinese Theater . Monroe lived a troubled life and died from an overdose of sleeping pills . She has been immortalized in film , books and pop art . Marilyn Monroe hasn ' t been forgotten by her many fans .
