Every city is special in its own way . Soul of a City examines the factors that shape the character of a city , the role played by a city's literature and culture , and issues related to planning and the development of community . The module is made up of material in this booklet and is supported by material on the English Online site on the Internet . The online site includes supplementary activities such as "Link to Language" and an interactive "Forum , " "Chat" and "Bookshelf . "If you want more information about the topics raised in this booklet , you can use the online "Sites to See" and take notes using the "Web Note Pad . " ? Every section in the booklet has a section task in which you sum up what you have learned in the section . ? You may also do a pair or group project , where you prepare a City Guide for an ideal city of your choice . Each partof the City Guide can be based on a completed section task .
