The Classroom Project : Preparing a Travel Log Working alone or in pairs , you will write a travel log about a trip to a countryof your choice . Keep all material you use or prepare in a special folder that you label Travel Folder . At the end , submit the Travel Folder with your travel log for assessment . Q Choose a destination country and get general information about it . ? Pick a destination country that matches your travel personality . ? Based on what you already know about your destination country , write a short explanation about how your destination country suits your travel interests . ? Decide on the places you would like to visit there . ? Decide on what you would like to do there . ? Find specific information about places of interest in your destination country . Q Collect specific information about the destination country . ? Look for facts and details about the culture , customs and languages spoken in your destination country so that you can imagine what it must be like traveling there . ? Collect detailed information that could be relevant to your travel log , including facts about modes of transportation , medical and travel warnings , local currency and possible expenses involved in traveling to and in that country . Q Exchange information about the destination country with others . Exchange information with other students in your class who chose the same destination . Q Write your travel log . The travel log is intended for people who want to know about your personal experiences in the country you chose . It should appear as if you actually went on the trip . The travel log can be either completely made up or based on personal experiences from a real trip . Show your travel log to a partner and make improvements and corrections based on the feedback you get . Check your grammar and spelling using a dictionary or spell-checker . The travel log should include the following elements : ? Facts about the country that you felt were interesting or unusual ? Specific details about at least three destinations ? Information about the type of traveler you are ? Unusual or interesting experiences and encounters with the people and their local culture , customs and language ? Pictures and photographs of interesting sights in the destination country
