Booklet Page 44 : More Practice The following is an excerpt of an interview with Candidate A ( A ) , who applied for the job of managing editor advertised on page 41 of the booklet . For each of the answers , write the question that the interviewer ( I ) might have asked . There is more than one possibility for each question . I : I see you ' ve had two books on journalism published . ?( I ) A : Yes , it ' s a very big undertaking to write a book . But I felt I had so much to say that I wanted to write and share my ideas with everyone . I : - ?( 2 ) A : Yes , it was . It was extremely difficult to find time to write while I was working . I worked on the book at ni ht and sometimes even on weekends . g I : ? ( 3 ) A : I worked for a local magazine for six years and then moved to a larger newspaper where I've worked for the last nine years . I : _ - ?( 4 ) A : Well , I've been in the same job for nine years now . It ' s time for a change . I : One of the qualifications needed for this job is the ability to work under pressure . ? ( 5 ) A : Well , it ' s true that I prefer to work in a calm environment , but I think I could handle the pressure . I : - ?( 6 ) A : Well , first of all , I have 15 years experience working in journalism . I also get on well with people so I'd be good at meeting with the various people I need to in the course of the job . I : - ?( 7 ) A : I ' ve worked fairly independently as a feature article writer , so I'm used to making decisions .
