Section Task : Perform ! Writing a profile about a performer or group Choose a performer or a member of a group . You will write a profile about him or her for a fan club newsletter . 1 . Collect information about the perfonner or group using the library or the Internet . Include the following information : ? the name of the perfonner ( If you choose a group , the information should be about only one of the performers . ) a pictureof the perfonner or group date and place of birth family status background musical style hits and well-known songs what the perfonner is doing today ( projects , musical tours , etc . ) the performer ' s interests and hobbies other interesting information that you would like to include 2 . Use the fact sheet on page 17 and the texts on pages 18 and 21 as models for writing your profile . 3 . Write your profile , making sure that you have all the necessary elements mentioned above . 4 . Ask a partner to read your profile and give you feedback . Make corrections based on your partner ' s feedback . 5 . Use a dictionary or spell-checker to correct mistakes . Check your grammar .
