Equipment : A pendulum composed of a piece of string , with a weight at the end . Experimental procedure : Hold the end of the pendulum string , and raise the weight to a certain height . Note its height . Release the weight and note of the height it reaches on the opposite side . Questions 1 . Describe the changes in energy from the moment the ball is released until it reaches its maximum height on the other side . 2 . What changes occur during the process ? Explain . 3 . What has not changed in this process ? ( Compare the height of the ball before its release to its maximum height on the opposite side ) . How do you know this ? 4 . Does the experiment support the law of conservation of energy ?
